William J. Thormahlen
Managing Director and Principal
William J. Thormahlen is responsible for overseeing operations and directing all legal, finance, tax and administrative functions. Mr. Thormahlen joined The Sammis Company (predecessor to the SARES Company) in 1980 where, as an executive vice president, he was responsible for its accounting, finance, legal and administrative functions as well as coordinating its regional office network.
After the formation of the SARES Company, Mr. Thormahlen was instrumental in orchestrating the SARES Company's merger with The Regis Group in 1993. Mr. Thormahlen is an associate of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), and the National Realty Committee. He is also a Lancaster Society member at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Mr. Thormahlen received a bachelor's degree in business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Thormahlen is also a certified public accountant. Additionally, Mr. Thormahlen is actively involved in the UCSB Foundation, serving as campaign chairman for Orange County. Mr. Thormahlen is also serving on the investment committee for Orangewood Children's Foundation and on the steering committee for the new YMCA in Santa Ana, California.
